THE COMPANY

Dear Sunday was born on June 20, 2019, at 12:49 a.m., the eve of the summer solstice, the night my daughter Sunday was born.

I like to say that while I always wanted to be a mom, I never felt more in the dark than when I was pregnant. The physical changes stole my days. The emotions confused me. I questioned everything I thought I knew. I didn’t like being pregnant. I didn’t know where to turn.

Research shows that the perinatal period of pregnancy, postpartum, and new motherhood is monumental. It’s life-changing. The adult female brain arguably never changes more significantly than it does when you become a mother.

Yet, despite the enormity of this change, we all-too-often approach pregnancy with narrow congratulatory messages and pack go-bags with next to nothing that we’ll actually need for ourselves in those fragile first few days as a mother. We all-too-often ooh and ahh at newborns without asking a new mother how she’s doing. We don’t talk about the tough stuff; the things many of us experience.

Dear Sunday does.

Through webinars, virtual mom groups, perinatal health coaching, and more we provide empowering resources to better inform and connect you through every stage of becoming a mother.

They say there’s a disconnect between knowledge and action. I’d argue that there is also a disconnect between knowledge and experience. It’s hard to know what you know until you live it.

That’s why I started Dear Sunday—to provide you with the information I wish I had access to when I was pregnant; the information that I hope, one day, our daughters will have.
